The headlines read: “Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has been ordered to pay $5.6 billion to resolve allegations it ordered millions of dollars in counterfeit Viagra from the French pharmaceutical giant.”
The headline was from the British newspaper The Sunday Times. But in a piece posted online on Tuesday, The Sunday Times detailed the latest in a growing series of allegations against Pfizer that the drugmaker’s ties to the United States are “strict.”
Pfizer’s alleged ties to China are a critical part of the investigation, which will focus on the company’s alleged involvement in the counterfeit drug industry. Dr Claire Fortunately, from St Albans, added: “It can be frustrating to see a GP saying, ‘Hey, I’d like to see a GP’. Sometimes it can be difficult to put your finger on what’s causing the problem, and when you speak to a GP, you might just be making a big mistake.”
Dr Andrew Witty, from Glasgow, said: “This is not a drug for men that’s designed to treat erectile dysfunction, it’s for men who need help getting and maintaining an erection. The main reason for this is to improve their self-esteem and sexual confidence.”
He added: “I’m sure many men who have tried these drugs will tell you they’ve tried them before, but it’s important to recognise that these drugs do have side effects and can make men more likely to engage in sexual activity.”
